Co-Founder and President: Burt
Hamner
Burt is uniquely qualified to lead
the Company. He studied marine biology at Harvard, and obtained Masters'
degrees in Business Administration and in
Marine Affairs at the University of Washington. He worked for the US
Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District as a marine environmental
coordinator. He later became an Environmental Planner for the Washington
Department of Ecology and worked extensively with shipyards, ports and
marinas. Since 1994 he has been a consultant for the United Nations, the
US Agency for International Development, the World Bank, the City of
Seattle, the Grays Harbor Paper Company and others, promoting clean
technology and sustainable business in developing countries and at home.
He still produces the website

how to manage a green and sustainable business and find clean technology
solutions.
Returning to the USA in 2004 after living for two
years in Peru, Burt founded a new company to develop tidal power.
He was the director of the
Tacoma
Narrows Tidal Power Feasibility Study for the City of Tacoma,
supervising eight engineering, environmental and economic consulting
firms and three university professors for all of 2007. Download

Final Report. During the study he identified the offshore
wind/wave power technology solution that makes large-scale offshore
power really feasible in the USA. He founded the Company to
capitalize on this in late 2007.
Burt is the chair of the
Renewable Energy Committee of the
Marine Technology Society.
He was
appointed as an international advisor to the
New Zealand Marine Energy Deployment Fund in early 2008.

Chris Leyerle
Chris Leyerle and Burt Hamner were
classmates together at Harvard. Chris has 12 years of experience
at Microsoft as a senior project manager and has been CEO of a
technology company for six years including successful patent filings,
grant applications and fund raising.

Dr. Mike Williamson
Dr. Williamson is founder and president of
Williamson and Associates, Inc.
After a distinguished career as a Navy diver he received his PhD in Ocean
Engineering from the University of Washington. His company has over 20
years of specialization in Marine Geophysical Surveys, Search and Recovery and
Ocean Engineering Development. He was a team member for the
Tacoma Narrows
Tidal Power Feasibility Study and provides a lifetime of ocean engineering
capability to the team.

Seattle and has extensive experience with marine construction. Manson can install large structures such as offshore wind
turbine foundations.

Harbor Engineering, Inc. have extensive experience providing the
full spectrum of engineering services required for design and
construction of coastal projects. They specialize in analyzing coastal
physical processes and their effects on coastal zone and waterfront
projects. Waves, currents, and sediment transport are analyzed and
simulated for assessing project feasibility and for planning,
permitting, and design.
